Here are ten more Christmas games for kids that are sure to bring joy and laughter to your holiday gatherings.

Christmas-Themed Game Ideas Using Bows

  1. Bow and Arrow Christmas Tree: Set up a Christmas tree target and challenge players to hit the ornaments with a bow and arrow. Bow and Arrow Christmas Tree Hunt
  2. Snowman Bow Race: Divide players into teams and have them race to build a snowman using only a bow and ribbon.
  3. Gift Wrapping Relay: Have teams compete in a race to wrap presents using bows and ribbons.
  4. Bow and Arrow Snowball Fight: Instead of throwing snowballs, have players shoot bows and arrows at each other’s targets.
  5. Reindeer Antler Toss: Set up a target with reindeer antlers and have players toss bows to see who can get the most points.

Holiday Games with Bows

  1. Bow and Arrow Candy Cane Hunt: Hide candy canes around the house or yard and have players hunt for them using bows and arrows.
  2. Christmas Bow Archery: Set up a target with various-sized bows and challenge players to hit the bulls-eye.
  3. Snowflake Bow Tag: Have players wear bows and try to tag each other by hitting their bows with a bow and arrow.
  4. Pin the Bow on the Gingerbread Man: Similar to Pin the Tail on the Donkey, blindfolded players try to pin a bow on a gingerbread man.
  5. Bow and Arrow Christmas Carol Karaoke: Players sing Christmas carols while shooting bows and arrows at a target. Each hit earns extra points.

These Christmas-themed games using bows are perfect for adding some extra fun to your holiday celebrations. So grab a bow, ribbon, and get ready to wrap up in some holiday cheer!

Christmas Song Relay

Here’s a fun holiday game for the whole family called Christmas Song Relay. Divide everyone into two teams, the “first team” and the “second team,” and write various Christmas songs and holiday-themed challenges on paper plates.

Each team takes turns drawing a paper plate from the pile. They then have a set time limit (e.g., 2 minutes) to complete the challenge on the plate. Challenges might involve singing a Christmas song, acting out holiday-themed lyrics, or answering holiday trivia questions.

Teams work together to complete these tasks in the right place, such as singing in the living room or performing charades in the dining area. Points are awarded for each completed challenge, and extra points can be given for displaying extra Christmas spirit.

After all the challenges are completed, tally the points to determine which team is the ultimate holiday game champion. This game is a great way to spread the Christmas spirit and enjoy much fun with your family!

Small Group Party Game Idea

For a fun Christmas party game that’s perfect for small groups, try combining the classic ‘Santa Says’ with a festive twist! In this game, one person acts as Santa Claus and gives commands like ‘spin a hula hoop’ or ‘do a jingle bell toss.’

Younger kids love the challenge, and you can mix it up by adding different items, like a piece of paper with holiday tasks. The best part?

You can get creative with different ways to play, and the first person to complete the tasks in the allotted time wins. It’s the perfect game for this time of year to keep everyone entertained!

Christmas Train Adventure Race:

For a lively Christmas party game, set up a series of stations around the room, each themed with festive activities. Start with the whole class divided into teams for a little friendly competition. The first station could be a memory game where they match Christmas cards with corresponding Christmas train sounds.

At the next station, they might race to assemble a mini Christmas train, and then move on to a reindeer game where they complete a fun challenge, like “reindeer relay” or “pin the nose on Rudolph.”

Each station should represent a different world of Christmas cheer, immersing the children in various festive games.

The final station offers a cozy treat: a cup of hot chocolate for each player. The team that completes all the stations first wins a special Christmas prize. This will tye the entire adventure into the Christmas party theme.

Make a Christmas Tree Game: How to Play

There are many preschool Christmas games for kids that both teachers and parents can use to engage their students and children this holiday season. “Make a Christmas Tree,” for instance, is a fun game for kids between the ages of 4 and 8.

Instructions:

  1. In this game, children use green and brown Play-Doh to create a Christmas tree and trunk.
  2. Then, each child will receive a gift bow for the star and buttons resembling ornaments.
  3. There will be a cool Christmas prize for the child who finishes their tree the fastest.
Set a timer for a minute and have the kids make a tree out of green playdoh and a trunk out of brown dough. In that round, the first child who makes a full tree wins. Another minute on the clock, and everyone races to add buttons to represent ornaments, followed by a Christmas bow for a tree top. That round's winner wins a Christmas prize.

POP ME: The Christmas Balloon Game

“Pop Me” is a fun Christmas game for older kids and teens.

For a small group, you'll need 12 balloons, so it's like 12 days of Christmas. Each red or green balloon needs to have the word POP ME written on it and a bow attached. After that, divide the kids into teams or allow them to hunt for balloons individually. It is the teen's responsibility to locate the balloon and pop it as soon as possible so that the gift bow can be collected. After all twelve balloons have been found, whoever has the most bows will win the game and receive a cool holiday prize.

How to Play:

  • For a small group, you’ll need 12 balloons, so it’s like 12 days of Christmas. Each red or green balloon needs to have the word POP ME written on it and a bow attached.
  • After that, divide the kids into teams or allow them to hunt for balloons individually.
  • The teen must quickly pop the balloon to collect the gift bow.
  • After finding all twelve balloons, the player with the most bows wins. For extra fun, give a holiday prize to the winner.

Build a Festive Tree

In a race, students build holiday trees on their desks, aiming for the quickest time.

Use bows to build a tree for a minute to win it holiday game idea. #tree #minutetowinit #holidaygame #momlife

You’ll need several gift bows (for each kid) and brown construction paper. The brown paper will represent the trunk of the tree. To win this game, you could put a minute on the clock and the fastest player will win.

Pass the Santa Game: How to Play

Santa visits are something every kid or adult wants. That’s why this Christmas eve party game is a hit!

Instructions

  1. Start by setting up a circle of players and using a Santa plush.
  2. Pass Santa around the circle clockwise while Christmas music plays.
  3. Award a small prize to the person holding Santa when the music stops.

The prize can be something small like candy or a candy cane. Everyone will enjoy the anticipation and excitement of waiting to see who will get Santa’s visit. It can be a fun way to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Christmas Pretzel Rod Relay:

For a quick and festive Christmas games for kids, gather the family members and divide them into teams. Each team starts with a plate of pretzel rods and a stack of sticky notes. Set a timer for a short time—around 2 minutes.

When the music starts, players race to stick as many sticky notes as possible onto their pretzel rods, turning them into “decorated holiday treats.”

At the end of the round, teams present their creations, and the “little guy” (a designated judge or the youngest player) picks the most creative or funniest pretzel rod. To add to the Christmas dinner fun, players could also draw card games or write festive notes on pieces of paper that will be shared with the remaining students.

This easy Christmas game adds a touch of holiday cheer to your next holiday party and can be a favorite addition to the list of Christmas games!

The Best Candycane Game – Easy to Play

The CUTE factor has me fixated on this kid-friendly Christmas game. This activity requires you to cut out seasonal themes from cardboard and decorate them.

A snowman, candycane, and gingerbread man were among the figures used. To place your feet in the craft (you can find more details with this bigfoot tutorial here), you will need to add tape.

Snowman and candy cane activity to play. This activity requires you to cut out a snowman and candy cane for props and use your feet to walk in them.

How to Play:

Two players will race across an obstacle course with a starting point and a stopping point. Depending on your preference, you could turn the obstacle course into a winter wonderland or a candyland theme.

In this game, the goal is to walk across the course as quickly as you can and reach the finish line before your opponent.

Winter Themed Game Ideas

Whether you’re looking for a hilarious Winter holiday game to play with your kids or for adults, this one’s a must-try. In conjunction with a Christmas in July party, we even used it.

Craft made out of cardboard used to create a prop for a party game with gift bows on top.

To make these holiday games, you’ll need cardboard for the feet and tons of gift bows. The winner is the player who can keep the most bows on his or her feet while walking the fastest.

Activity using gift bows that turns into a holiday game idea.

Christmas Charades and Guessing Extravaganza

Try the Christmas Charades and Guessing Extravaganza for a festive and family-friendly game that’s perfect for party guests. Start by preparing white paper cards with Christmas-related words and phrases, and place them in a bowl or hat.

Divide players into two teams, with each team taking turns. A team member draws a card and has 1 minute to act out or draw the word without using letters or numbers while their team guesses. If they guess correctly within the time limit, they earn points and possibly bonus points for quick guesses.

For an extra twist, hide pasta noodles with additional clues around the room, allowing teams to earn extra points when they find them. Continue rotating turns until all cards are used, and the team with the most points at the end wins.

This easy game combines artistic skills with festive fun, making it perfect for family enjoyment.

Christmas Noodle Relay

For a whimsical addition to your holiday festivities, try the Christmas Noodle Relay. Begin by dividing the young children into two teams. Each team gets a bowl of pasta noodles and a festive Christmas word card with a fun twist: the word could be “Snowman,” “Reindeer,” or “White Christmas.”

The game starts with the first player from each team using a spoon to transport as many pasta noodles as they can from one end of the table to the other.

However, here’s the twist—while carrying the noodles, they must follow Simon Says commands, like hopping on one foot or twirling around.

When the music stops, players have to freeze and complete a quick memory game or a fun guessing game where they identify Christmas trains or other festive items shown on flashcards.

After their turn, the next team member takes over, and the relay continues until all team members have had a chance.

The team with the most pasta noodles successfully transported and the best answers to the guessing game win a small Christmas prize, making this game a fun mix of classic game elements, creative ideas, and festive Christmas cheer with little preparation and a pasta noodle! It’s one of our favorite Christmas games for kids!

Conclusion

Get started planning your fun Christmas party games with these fun party ideas. Please enjoy these festive Christmas games or use them as inspiration to create your own holiday activities.

Consider a Secret Santa, white elephant exchange, or a Christmas carol event for added holiday fun to Christmas games for kids.

Until a child’s birth parents are able to care for him or her, foster parents provide a stable and supportive home for that child. Most of the time, foster parents work with social workers to reunite the child with his or her biological parents. Some foster parents care for more than one child.

But sometimes, there are just things that we can’t prevent. We all want reunification to happen, but sometimes circumstances prevent it from happening.

Foster family support groups are groups of foster families that come together to provide support and resources to other families. They provide an opportunity to share experiences, express feelings, and receive advice from other foster families. Sometimes they’ll share ideas for free stuff for foster families too!

They also provide a safe space for foster families to find a sense of community and support.

What is foster family training?

Foster family training provides foster families with the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to provide supportive and nurturing homes for foster children.

The training covers topics such as child development, trauma and attachment, parenting skills, and self-care. It helps foster families to be prepared for the unique challenges that come with caring for foster children.

Is there a reason why the FAFSA asks if I have ever been in foster care?

It is asked in order to provide applicants in foster care with additional information regarding assistance through Federal programs. This question is offered to all students applying online, but it is not mandatory. Dependency status does not change based on responses.

Many states in the US have special funds to assist foster children in paying for college. In almost all states in the US, there are special programs that assist children adopted from foster care in paying for their college education. In some states, scholarships cover the entire cost of college tuition, while in others, tuition waivers are offered.

Foster Carer

You may qualify for a discount on your Council Tax if you are a foster carer. Foster carers who provide care for a child living in the same household are eligible for this discount. The discount is usually 25% or 50% off the Council Tax bill.

This section will include vacation discounts for foster families, free stuff for foster families, the information we know about Disney tickets for foster families, and free stuff for fostering.

This pass provides free admission to state parks, historic sites, and other recreational facilities. It also allows foster parents to access discounts at local businesses.

Additionally, foster parents can use the pass to purchase hunting and fishing licenses at a discounted rate.

Tennessee

Dollywood: Dollywood offers Foster Families tickets, and you must go through your foster organization. Dollywood recognizes that foster families are often in need of a break from their daily routines and is happy to provide them with an opportunity to enjoy a day of fun.

Tickets are free to all foster families (Tennessee Certified only), and a range of activities are available for all ages and interests. The tickets are valid for one visit and can be used by the foster family at any time of the year. Dollywood also offers special rates for foster families to stay at the resort.

Dollywood’s generosity to foster families is part of their larger mission of providing a positive, safe, and welcoming environment for all. They understand the importance of providing foster families with an opportunity to take a break from their daily routines and have a great time.

Nevada

Nevada foster parents are entitled to various discounts, including savings on groceries, utility bills, and car insurance, according to Clark County NV. Parents may also be eligible for a discount on college tuition for their children.

Additionally, foster parents may be eligible for childcare subsidies. Furthermore, foster parents may also benefit from access to various programs and resources, such as financial assistance for adoption fees, job training, and mental health services.

Florida

Disney Foster Parent Discount

Unfortunately, at this time, Walt Disney World or Disney Land doesn’t offer a discount for theme park tickets for a foster family! However, tickets are free for children 3-10.

Additionally, Disney does offer discounted rates for other qualified groups, such as military families, teachers, and first responders.

In addition, Disney does offer a “Magical Giveback” program that allows guests to donate their unused theme park tickets to charity. This program allows guests to donate their unused tickets to those in need.

Walt Disney World also offers a “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program, which allows guests to volunteer with a local charity and receive a free Disney day ticket.

Ultimately, Disney’s donation programs help to ensure that their theme parks remain magical and that those in need receive help. As well, the Not so Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party have slightly lower-priced tickets versus regular admission if that helps.

Tip: Disney Springs is free to get into for anyone and has free parking! Get access to lots of stores, restaurants, and entertainment there!

We love visiting  Disney Springs (which use to be Downtown Disney); each year, we travel to Orlando!

Showing the reader what Disney Springs looks like and the free options they have there to check out.

The above picture is my kiddos playing in the water that Stich spits out of his mouth like a fountain in front of the World of Disney store at Disney Springs!

Fun Tip!

There’s no doubt that you’ll want to watch this Disney movie based on foster care if you’ve never seen it! After all, it’s the perfect way to spend a rainy day – with popcorn and tissues!

Foster Care Rates

Current and proposed foster care rates: The current monthly rate paid to foster families for “Relative and Family Foster Care” the proposed rate will increase from $500 to $1,000 per child, per month depending on the state.

This rate would cover the cost of food, clothing, and other basic needs for the children. It would also provide caregiving families with additional resources to support their foster children.

Wrapping Up

Before I get off here, I want to say, “Thank you!” one more time! Thank you for saying, I want to be a foster parent. You are an inspiration. Every day you change the world and have the utmost gratitude for you. Thank you!

I hope you can use these deals to save money, or perhaps you know this could be of financial assistance for foster parents in your area.

Please feel free to share it and include the foster care number. Sometimes your agency will know of discounts or free stuff for your local area. Best of luck in all you do!

Stay safe or get eaten alive with this DIY monster party game. Create perfect party games for small spaces or big with this genius bigfoot monster activity. Even the neighbors will have to watch out for this if they play.

Stay safe or get eaten alive with this DIY monster party game.

The Best DIY Monster Party Game

Get ready to play an unforgettable DIY monster party game that bigfoot would be proud of, lol. So jump right in and pick your card. Find out if you get eaten alive or are safe with this easy game idea.

But first, if you love Bigfoot as much as we do, you have to see this hilarious bigfoot game, how to find bigfoot game, Bigfoot scavenger hunt, and how to make bigfoot poop that you can; actually eat, ew!

Campfire Games

What really spiked my interest in this game is that it is great to play around a campfire, perfect for those bonfire games, great for a monster party, or even Halloween parties.

Campfire games to play around the bonfire.

Bigfoot Party Game

I built this game by using the following materials. A piece of cardboard, bigfoot printables, construction paper, small envelopes, small clothespins, and ribbon.

I don’t have a tutorial for building the entire game because I just did it on a whim. However, I am happy to share these free printables with you. This game set includes the following:

  • Caution Sign
  • Bigfoot Game Pieces
  • Rules
  • Campfire Games for Adults 21+ Rules

In return, I would love it if you would follow me on Pinterest or Facebook. This gives you access to more games, party ideas, and fun for the holidays that you won’t want to miss out on.

  1. Caution Printable

2. Bigfoot Safe & Eaten Game Pieces

3. Monster Game Rules

4. 21+ Game Rules for Adults

Rules of the Monster Party Game

To begin, the players will need to be in a circle or close within approximately for everyone to be near the craft board.

The object of the Diy Monster Party game is for each player to pick an envelope with a number on it. We had 12 envelopes for our board.

If you have a large group, everyone will need to pick a card. However, if you have a small group, it’s okay, but again we still recommend choosing just one card per player. Only the host of the game will know which card is in each of the envelopes.

After all of the envelopes are chosen, then, you will go around the circle opening them one at a time. If the player opens a card with the bigfoot circle with a line through it, that means the player is safe.

If the player finds bigfoot in a caution triangle, the player will have been eaten, which means the player is out of the game.

Bigfoot game pieces if you find a circle with a line with bigfoot in it you are safe. If you find a bigfoot inside of a triangle you will have been eaten.

The last player or remaining players will win a prize. The only thing different from the kids version of the game to the adult version is that with the grownup game version, the rules are if the player finds bigfoot, the player will have been eaten, which means the player is out of the game or will have to take a drink.

campfire games for adults and kids

Wrapping up, we hope you enjoy this game idea. We played many rounds and planned to reuse this game around the campfire this summer at our 4th of July party. We hope the real sasquatch doesn’t appear while playing this monster game, but we plan to take that risk. Will you?

When it comes to spreading festive cheer, there’s no better way than embodying one of Santa’s little helpers. This season, get crafty with your children or bring a smile to friends and family by learning how to make an elf mask. Perfect for holiday parties, school events, or just a bit of imaginative play around the house, a homemade elf mask is a lovely addition to your Christmas festivities.

Elf on the Shelf Mask

Did you know that Elves also need to stay in quarantine? When they come from the North Pole, they have to stay inside for 14 days. This helps keep everyone safe.

So, our elf has brought some free printable masks for your elves to use!

Firstly, grab your free printable elf mask template online below or feel free to create your own.

Then, print it out on sturdy paper. Cut around the mask’s outline and the eyes. You can reinforce the mask by gluing it onto a piece of cardstock before cutting it out again if you wish for extra durability.

Next, it’s time to bring your elf to life with a splash of color. Elves are known for their vibrant attire. So feel free to decorate the mask to your heart’s content.

Traditional colors include greens, reds, and golds, but there are no rules when it comes to the creativity of your elf mask. Make it your own with unique decorations.

Once decorated, punch holes on either side of the mask and attach a piece of elastic string or ribbon. We used white yarn.

Make sure it’s measured to fit comfortably around the elf’s head. You may have to tie the yarn in the back to keep the mask on the elf or tape it.

Now, not only do you have a festive mask, but you’ve also created a memorable holiday craft. Wearing this elf mask, you’ll surely be the talk of any holiday gathering.

What’s more, Santa will indeed be proud to see his workshop represented with such creativity and joy. So, don your mask and fill your role as Santa’s helper with glee!

I enjoy sharing free templates for you to print at home!

So, this simple face mask template is free for you to use. Over the years, we have enjoyed seeing the superhero masks, the Grinch mask for the elf, and a Spiderman mask.

This will be our first time seeing an elf in isolation with this sort of printable. It’s a unique way to add humor and delight into your holiday activities during times when a little cheer is much needed.

✅ Moreover, if you’re looking to dress up the full outfit, This Mighty Superhero Costume is not only super cool, but it could also be a great complement to the masks you’re printing. Imagine the fun of seeing your little ones running around as their favorite superheroes, with capes billowing behind them and the satisfaction of a DIY mask snug on their faces!

I tried to round up a few more ideas to help make things a little easier for you this holiday season. Why not create your own holiday story with personalized characters? You could use the masks to bring the story to life!
