It is important to remember to rotate the item/prizes around to make the activity a little more challenging and fun for everyone.

Plus, it is easier to build the ball this way. You will want to add a few layers between each prize, allowing the player to unwrap more to win the prizes.

An additional tip is to cut pieces of Saran Wrap after layering the gifts periodically. This will give players that are too fast at unrolling a harder time to unwrap and win all the gifts.

Plus, a big tip when making the ball remember to rotate the gifts around. This will help make it more challenging.

Additionally, another idea is periodically to use press and seal and wrap some gifts throughout the ball.

Therefore, super speeders will have to slow down and give others a chance to win a prize. We’ve seen people use packaging tape in theirs to make it a little harder, but I have never tried it and don’t know how well it would work.

Choosing the gifts for saran wrap game is most important because that is what everyone will be looking forward to winning. It can make the difference between a cool game for adults or a fun game for kids!

3. Directions on How to Play the Saran Wrap Ball Game

The directions and rules for the saran wrap ball game are very simple. You will need to have the group of players sit in a circle.

The starting player of the round will have the ball on his or her lap. The player sitting next to the player with the ball on the left will roll a dice set until they get doubles.

After the player lands on doubles with the dice, they yell, “DOUBLES,” and receive the ball.

In the meantime, whatever the player unwrapping the ball drops out. He or she gets to keep for a prize.

The rule is that if the prize is completely unrolled from the Saran Wrap ball, then the winner will keep it.

If the prize is still stuck in the plastic layering, they will unfortunately not get to keep that item even if it’s only stuck a little bit. It will be the next player’s turn to try and win it.

The ball will continue to move to the next person on the left until everyone has had a turn or all prizes are unrolled claimed.

If you would like to use oven mitts, those bigfoot ones are optional but so fun. It makes the game (or also known as the plastic wrap moneyball) a little more challenging and hilarious to watch people use.

My brother’s boss held a work party and played this game for a scavenger hunt with office supplies, and the first prize his co-worker won was a pair of gloves.

The fillers are so important in this game! That means if you are making the ball, you will want to make sure it is full of goodies that people will actually want inside of it when guests unwrap.

They are either going to love it or hate it. For example, if you put a Christmas card inside, you may want to add a note for a small prize, medium prize, or large prize (or grand prize) that they could get after the game is over.

This is the most hilarious and funniest Christmas game to play when adding the naughty list. This takes tips, tricks, and prize giving, and party ideas to another level.

For example, create a list of guests that are going to be at the party. We have found only the adults really get the kick out of being on the naughty list. Therefore, if their name falls out, they get a sack of coal.

Another option is to skip their turn or give them some wine or a Rudolph beer in December.

Adults and kids alike are going to love this crazy, fun game! If you want to use the same idea for kids, use a Rudolph root beer instead.

This is a hugely popular Christmas game and used at New Year celebrations and all year long. So if you use the plastic wrap ball party game at a different time that is not during a holiday season, that is okay too; it makes an excellent ice breaker game idea.

9. Do’s and Dont’s of the saran wrap gift ball

Please don’t keep the prizes in the same spot while wrapping the ball. Be sure to rotate them around. This will make it more challenging and fun for everyone to have a chance to win a gift.

Don’t just wrap the gifts in plastic wrap. Cut pieces and wrap to allow it to be more challenging for gifts to fall out.

There is no ripping or tearing the ball. That means nobody can poke holes or rip them; the player can only unwrap it the right way, so it makes it fair for everyone.

Do keep a container or a box to hold the dice because this game can get wild and crazy with each player taking turns to shake the dice and trying to get doubles.

How to Make DIY Glow in the Dark Crafts

The kids and I were trying to find something new to do during the summer break. After a fun day in the backyard, I kept seeing this spare tube of glow-in-the-dark bracelets and necklaces from the Dollar tree in my craft box.

This Amazon deal is a good deal for the number of glow sticks you get, perfect for a small or large group!

I looked up some of the glow in the dark craft ideas on Pinterest, but I couldn’t find anything that didn’t involve glue or paint.

For this idea, we created designs using glow sticks in the dark and did not need anything else. We didn’t know this would lead us to a new world of glowing art!

Our Smiley Face, for example, was created using three glowing necklaces and one glowing bracelet, and we were just getting started with our creativity.

The eyes are made with two glowing bracelets and the mouth with three green bracelets.

The next glow art project we made was a flower.

When making flower art, we used a necklace to make the flower’s middle and a necklace for the stem. We made each of the petals with different color bracelets, which turned out cool.

Glow in the Dark Painting

If you want to paint without the mess, use glow sticks. You could even make use of this for a Disney craft for kids; try making characters out of the glow sticks.

For example, we made Mickey Mouse out of two necklaces and two glowing bracelets.

The best part is this craft project will work for any age, from kids to adults!

We’ve made glowing ice cubes before but can’t wait to try more of the following ideas!

It sounds like a lot of fun, and decorating with glowing stars, paint, and using glowing beads is totally up our alley.

Tip: We placed a black table cloth on the floor to help us take pictures of our glow crafts easier.

Lastly, I have to show you my favorite one! We could spell my website name Get Your Holiday On out of the necklaces and bracelets too! I thought that was really neat.

I’m working on my holiday games and remembered a fun Christmas Game Bag Idea for Kids that’s Free!

What if I told you that you could easily find things around the house and turn them into free holiday activities!

It sure sounds like a great idea to me!

Christmas Bag Game Idea

As a mom and foster mom, I’m always searching for ways to reuse, recycle, and save.

That’s where this Christmas bag game idea came from and now I’m happy to share it with you and your family too!

What I used in my mystery bags

Gift Bows
Jingle Bell (Check the price on Amazon here!)
Plastic Ornament
Christmas card
Santa Claus
Christmas lights (I used this type of lights)

What you will need is brown paper bags to put the items inside of, therefore, it’s like surprise bags.

After that, you’ll need to place each item in different bags.

For example, the gift bow in a bag, the jingle bell in another, and so on.

This makes it much easier for the kids to have to pull the item out and feel the item and try to guess what it is without seeing it.

However, if you do have preschool-age children playing you may want them to see the objects ahead of time so they’ll know exactly what they’re looking for when feeling the object.

As far as the not so little children you can blindfold each of them as they play to add excitement to the game.

Also, you can have the other children that are not participating at the time wait in another room. This way they will not see the items in each bag before it is their turn.

I suggest timing the children and see who could guess the items the fastest.

As well as, allowing them to touch and feel the items. My children had fun shaking the jingle bell.

However, it’s fun to use a pinecone too.

It sure was a fast giveaway to what item it was and they loved that part!

Lastly, if you need more holiday games we have them and love playing ones that don’t cost a fortune!

If you are an elf on the shelf mom or enjoy surprising your children after school with celebrations, you’ll probably like this idea.

First, as a mom and foster mom. I pride myself on helping my kiddos to celebrate the small things and the big things in life.

As we all know, kids grow fast!

With that said, each time my son or daughters get a longer break from school.

I try to celebrate it in a fun way.

For example, when summer break comes around, I love to go all out with signs, slushies, and other fun ideas here!

How to Make Christmas Break Extra Fun

This year we took Christmas break to another level.

First, we created a Christmas tree out of recycled boxes.

This budget-friendly Christmas tree consists of empty boxes and green gift wrapping paper.

Of course, adding a DIY star at the top is a must too!

Next, we just stacked the boxes in a tree-like form.

This made it easier to build the tree right before the kiddos got off of the bus.

DIY Winter Break Activity

As a result, moments after getting off the bus. The kids each took turns running through the red streamers and knocking over the Christmas tree.

Marking the moment Christmas break officially started!

Oh, what fun it was for each one of my littles to celebrate having a break from their teachers, homework, and school.

A little winter celebration that cost next to nothing to do but something so fun and that they’ll get to remember forever.

Now that winter break has officially begun we will be setting goals for the New Year, taking adventures, creating art, and eating cookies!
